The reveal: Brand Photoshoot For Scott Social

Not Your Average Agency Photoshoot (And That's The Point)

You know that feeling when you see something so perfectly executed that you have to do a double take? That's exactly what we were going for with Scott Social's brand photoshoot.

While planning the perfect styled brand photoshoot can feel overwhelming (check out our complete guide here), we're pulling back the curtain on how we brought our vision to life through intentional creative direction, unexpected props, a whole lot of colorful outfits, plus… ↓

8 Hours of shooting. 247 images. And 1 very pink shopping cart.

When we decided to rebrand Scott Social, we knew we needed photos that would stop people in their tracks. Photos that would make potential clients think, "If they can do this for themselves, imagine what they could do for us."

Our vision? Bright, bold, and completely unexpected. We wanted to create a visual story that celebrated color through retro-modernism style while pushing creative boundaries. Think monochromatic outfits in shocking brights, vintage technology that perfectly juxtaposes our digital expertise, and poses that make you look twice.

CEO Signature Shots: The Statement Maker

Ever ordered a statement piece from Europe just for a photoshoot? We have. Our CEO shots featured a show-stopping white blazer – because sometimes you need to go big or go home. We paired this with another setup featuring an orange shirt and bright blue gloves because, well, why not? It's the unexpected combinations that make people remember you.

Speaking of which, sometimes the best creative ideas come from collaboration. When our photographer, Emily, suggested taping white daisies to my chest for an artistically intricate shot, we knew it was perfect for our brand. A little strange? Yes. Beautifully memorable? Absolutely.

Remote Team, Connected Vision

How do you show connection in a remote team? Put everyone in bold, monochromatic outfits (think bright orange, pink, and blue), hand them vintage rotary phones, and position them throughout a white space. The result? A perfect representation of how we stay connected while working apart, with plenty of white space for future text overlays.

Movement & Space

Sometimes the best website photos aren't the ones where everyone is perfectly posed and smiling at the camera. We created movement by having team members walk in front of the camera, creating a natural blur effect while keeping one point of perfect focus. These shots became some of our most versatile website assets, allowing text overlays without losing impact.

Spoiler alert: This shot became the hero image of our home page.

The Team

For our team page, we wanted photos that showed personality while maintaining our brand aesthetic. The solution? Everyone in different colors, doing their thing. Simple in concept, powerful in execution. The downside? The third shot is a major ab workout and you’d never know.

Let’s Go Shopping

Sometimes the best props come from the most random places. I offered to buy a shopping cart from a woman experiencing homelessness and she could not have been more excited to have her shopping cart featured in a photoshoot. She said “please take it for free” – of course I still paid her for it. But regardless, Sarah from Mesa, Arizona saw the vision (and loved it).

I painted the cart pink, rolled it over to the photoshoot, and created everything from GIF-worthy magazine reading moments to vintage tech transport scenes.

Fun fact: After the shoot, we listed it on Facebook Marketplace and got 50 messages in the first hour. Even our leftover props have star power.

Vintage Tech Meets Modern Marketing

Nothing quite like the juxtaposition of vintage technology with modern marketing expertise. We sourced everything from 90s desktop computers to rotary phones via Facebook Marketplace – then set off on what felt like a thrifting roadtrip. Each piece helped tell our story of bridging the gap between old school connection and modern digital strategy.

Detail Shots: The Final Touch

The secret to versatile brand photos? Detail shots. We captured close-ups of every prop and scene, creating a library of images perfect for website backgrounds, social media posts, and proposal documents.

The Impact Of Our Brand Photoshoot

The response? Overwhelming.

These photos are always a conversation starter – whether it’s a job applicant, a perspective client, or even my friends and family. Seriously, the crowd went wild.

Our rebranded photos transformed our website, social media presence, and marketing materials into something that truly represents who we are as an agency.

Simply put, we’re obsessed and we hope that you are too.
